Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 goes live on PS5 in India at midnight IST on October 23, priced at ₹5,999, and it leads the busiest two weeks of releases before Diwali. Between October 22 and November 5, 2026, players also get Phantom Blade Zero (₹4,299 on PS5), Square Enix’s pixel-art Final Fantasy Resonance (₹3,499), a full remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, and a rebuilt version of The Wolf Among Us. Below, we rank the seven best releases in this window. For each one you get the Indian price where Sony lists it, the release time in IST where it has been confirmed, and who the game suits.
Quick List: Release Dates and Prices at a Glance
Rupee prices come from the PlayStation Store India and playstation.com/en-in listings as of October 21, 2026. Nintendo does not sell games through an India eShop, so we list US prices for the Switch 2 titles. Prices can change before launch.

The 7 Best New Games of the Next Two Weeks, Ranked
The ranking weighs how much each game matters to Indian players, how well it has been received so far (demos, previews and reviews), and how much play you get for the price.
1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (October 23)
This is the biggest launch of the month, and it has a direct India link. Infinity Ward’s campaign follows a North Korean invasion of the South, with Private Park, a young South Korean soldier, as the playable lead. Captain Price runs an off-the-books operation alongside the main story. The campaign moves from trenches in Korea to New York, Paris and an SAS night raid in Mumbai. That Mumbai mission will be one of the most talked-about levels among Indian players.
Key facts:
- India price (PS5): ₹5,999 for the Standard Edition and ₹8,249 for the Vault Edition, per the PlayStation Store India.
- Launch time: PlayStation lists the release as 6:30 PM UTC on October 22, which is 12:00 AM IST on October 23.
- Early access: Digital pre-orders got the campaign from October 16 and DMZ from October 20.
- Modes: A campaign, 12 new 6v6 multiplayer maps at launch, large-scale vehicle maps, and the returning DMZ extraction mode. Kill Block is a new map whose layout changes between rounds, with more than 500 configurations.
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. It is the first Call of Duty to skip PS4 and Xbox One entirely, and the first on a Nintendo console since Ghosts on Wii U.
- Game Pass: Not included at launch. Reports say it will arrive on Game Pass about a year later, unlike Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7.
The Vault Edition costs ₹2,250 more. It adds two operator packs, five signature weapons, one season of BlackCell (the premium battle pass with 20 tier skips and 1,100 CP) and a DMZ deployment bonus. If you only care about the campaign and casual multiplayer, the Standard Edition is enough. Online multiplayer on PS5 needs a PS Plus subscription, so budget for that if your membership has lapsed.
2. Phantom Blade Zero (October 29)
S-GAME’s wuxia action RPG is the most anticipated new single-player game of the month, and it costs ₹1,700 less than Call of Duty on PS5. You play as Soul, an assassin with 66 days to live, in a martial-arts world called Wulin that mixes kung fu with steampunk machinery.
Combat is built around a shared Sha-Chi meter. It works as stamina, posture and skill gauge for both Soul and his enemies. Soul carries two main blades and two secondary Phantom Edges, and switching main weapons mid-fight refills Sha-Chi. Enemy “Brutal Moves” can be parried, while “Killer Moves” have to be dodged to trigger a Ghoststep counter. Fans of Sekiro and Ninja Gaiden will recognise the rhythm.
- India price (PS5): ₹4,299 Standard and ₹5,199 Digital Deluxe (adds two outfits, a digital artbook and the soundtrack).
- Launch time: The PS Store India listing gives 02:00 AM UTC on October 29, which is 7:30 AM IST.
- Platforms: PS5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). There is no Xbox version at launch.
- Pre-order bonus: The Treasure Basin accessory (10% more Remnant Dust drops) and a Legacy outfit. Both can also be earned in-game, so you lose nothing by waiting for reviews.
- Early access: None for either edition.
Reports say there is no physical PS5 edition at launch, so Indian buyers who prefer discs should check retailer listings before pre-ordering.
3. Final Fantasy Resonance (October 22)
Final Fantasy Resonance is the first Final Fantasy game in Square Enix’s HD-2D style, the pixel-art-meets-3D look of Octopath Traveler and the Dragon Quest III remake. Square Enix co-developed it with LANCARSE. It reworks the story of the mobile game Brave Exvius as a premium console and PC RPG, and this release is described as the story’s opening chapter.
Battles are turn-based. Staggering an enemy earns you extra turns, and “Visions” (echoes of classic Final Fantasy characters) join your party as summons.
- India price (PS5): ₹3,499 Standard and ₹3,999 Digital Deluxe.
- Release time: Insider Gaming reports a 4 PM UTC launch on October 22, which is 9:30 PM IST.
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Switch 2. It is not on PS4, Xbox One or the original Switch, and it is not on Game Pass.
- Free demo: Available now on PlayStation and Steam. It covers the full first chapter, and your save carries over.
- Bonuses: Pre-orders get the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack. Buying on PS5 before November 5 (11:59 PM local time) adds the Squire Kickstart Pack.
At ₹3,499, this is the cheapest full-priced new release on our list. Because the demo is free, you can try it before you spend anything.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake (November 5)
Nintendo is remaking one of the most praised games ever made, exclusively for Switch 2. The changes are significant: updated visuals, voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue and an orchestral soundtrack. The controls add dedicated jump and dash buttons and a freer camera. An optional Threads of Time feature gives story guidance, so new players don’t get stuck the way many did in 1998. You can also hum songs into the Switch 2 microphone, and a Zelda Notes companion works through the Nintendo Switch App.
- Price: $59.99 digital and $69.99 for the physical game card. The first physical run has textured foil cover art while stocks last.
- Platform: Switch 2 only.
- India note: Nintendo has no official India eShop or distribution. Indian players usually buy imported cartridges from local retailers and online sellers, or use a foreign-region Nintendo account. Expect imported cartridges to cost more than the US price once import costs and seller margins are added.
If you own a Switch 2, this is the easiest pick of the window. If you don’t, it is not a reason to import a console on its own, because Modern Warfare 4 and Final Fantasy Resonance also run on Switch 2.
5. The Wolf Among Us Remastered (October 29)
Telltale’s 2013 noir detective story, set among fairy-tale characters hiding in New York, has been rebuilt rather than just upscaled. The game moves to the engine Telltale used for its Batman series, and every scene has been relit. Every character model has been rebuilt from concept art, and Bigby’s wolf form has been redesigned to look more feral. A new Noir Mode switches the whole game to black and white with heavier shadows, and you can toggle it at any time. All five episodes are included, along with developer commentary, concept art and restored content.
- Price: $24.99. The playstation.com/en-in page was still wishlist-only on October 21, so India pricing should go live closer to launch.
- Launch discounts (October 29 to November 12): 20% off for new players (on PS5, PS Plus members only) and 50% off for digital owners of the original. On PS5, owners of the original without PS Plus get 30% off.
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC, with Switch coming later.
- Free demo: Episode 1, “Faith”, is playable on Steam during Steam Next Fest until October 26.
This is the best value on the list. The story takes a few evenings to finish, and it suits players who prefer narrative games to shooters.
6. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort (October 22)
This is the family pick for Diwali gatherings. The Switch 2 exclusive has 12 sports: boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, and three leisure activities (skateboarding, power cruising and prop plane). Golf can be played over 3, 9 or 18 holes. Up to four people can play locally, and bowling supports 16 players online.
- Price: $49.99 digital and $59.99 physical.
- Platform: Switch 2 only. It does not run on the original Switch.
- Online: Needs a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Pro League is ranked play, and Casual mode doesn’t track results.
- Solo mode: Island Crown has you beat each sport’s champion.
Each player needs their own compatible controller, so check how many Joy-Con you have before planning a four-player session.
7. One Piece: Grand Gourmet (October 23)
Kairosoft, the studio behind Game Dev Story, has made its first One Piece game. It’s a restaurant-management sim set at a second Baratie, with Sanji running the kitchen. You choose ingredients, cook dishes, put together meal sets for specific guests, and expand the restaurant one floor at a time. More than 400 One Piece characters appear as customers, suppliers and sources of inspiration.
- Platforms: Switch 2, Switch, PC (Steam), iOS and Android, all on the same day.
- Price: Not yet announced. Publisher Bandai Namco had not said whether the mobile version is premium or free-to-play when pre-orders opened.
Because it launches on Android, this is the only game on the list most Indian players can try without a console or gaming PC. Anime fans in India are a large audience, and Kairosoft’s management games tend to be easy to pick up.
How to Save Money on These Games in India
Indian prices for big releases are now close to US prices, so timing and platform choice matter more than they used to.
- Use the free demos first. Final Fantasy Resonance has a full-chapter demo on PS5 and Steam, and The Wolf Among Us Remastered has a free Episode 1 demo on Steam until October 26.
- Time purchases around Diwali (November 8, 2026). Online retailers usually run festive offers on physical PS5 games and accessories in the run-up to Diwali. Phantom Blade Zero reportedly has no physical PS5 edition, so it may not be part of those deals.
- Check PS Plus discounts. The Wolf Among Us Remastered gives PS Plus members an extra discount until November 12. If you play Call of Duty online on PS5, you need PS Plus anyway.
- Compare PC prices. Steam’s regional pricing for India can be lower than console prices for some publishers. Check the Steam store page in rupees before buying the PS5 version, especially for Phantom Blade Zero and Final Fantasy Resonance.
- Skip the deluxe editions unless you want the extras. Across this list, the deluxe upgrades add cosmetics, artbooks and soundtracks, not more story. Call of Duty’s Vault Edition is the only one with real multiplayer value, through the battle pass season and weapons.
If you play Modern Warfare 4 on PC, our list of the best wireless gaming mice under ₹1,000 is a cheap place to start.
Which Game Should You Buy?
The right choice depends on what you play and what you play it on.

- For action fans who like hard, skill-based combat: Phantom Blade Zero on PS5 or PC.
- For RPG players on a budget: Final Fantasy Resonance at ₹3,499, after trying the free demo.
- For Switch 2 owners: the Ocarina of Time remake, with Switch Sports Resort for family time.
- For story-first players: The Wolf Among Us Remastered, the cheapest premium game here at $24.99.
- For mobile-only players and anime fans: One Piece: Grand Gourmet on Android or iOS. For more phone picks, see our list of top mobile games in India.
What Comes Next: GTA 6 on November 19 and December’s Releases

- December 3: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Rayman Legends Retold, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV (PC)
