Stepwise how to clean makeup brushes with Vinegar and Dawn!

In case you don’t forget, ensure that you clean the brush four times a month. Here is how it goes-

Step 1. Blend the Vinegar and Dawn soap in a jar.

Take a bottle (preferably a transparent one) and then half fill the bottle with warm water. In its warm condition add two to four drops of apple cider vinegar and two drops of dawn dishwashing soap. Use a straw and stir the mixture thoroughly.

Step 2. Dip those bristles within the solvent.

Once you completely swirl the solution then place your brushes in it to make them soak the vinegar and dawn soap. Wait for 5 to 7 minutes and then wipe gently on the bristles. We would suggest swirling one brush at a time for a fresher effect. Once you take off the cleaned brush then rinse them with cooking water. Repeat the step for all your brushes.

Step 3. For a deep cleaning use an extra drop of soap.

If you still find that makeup solids are filled in the brushes then you can add another drop of soap and clean them in warm water. Continue washing the brushes until you are convinced that they look clean under running water.

Step 4. Let the brush dry for the next couple of hours.

Lastly, all you need to do is air dry the wet brushes. Dab the brushes for the next few times so that the extra water inside the brush shades out. With your fingers, you can reshape any bent bristles of the brushes. Now arrange a clean piece of cloth or paper towel and place flatly the brushes to make the brushes air dry. Wait for six to seven hours and then the brushes will again get make-up ready.

What to do when you don’t have Dawn soap to clean your makeup brush?

Many times, you may fall short of dawn or a regular dishwasher to thoroughly clean your brush. But we have a solution to disinfect your brush. You can clean the brush with baby shampoo and then use a few drops of vinegar for disinfecting the makeup brush. Here’s how-

Step 1. Keep the tap open and then rinse the bristles of your brushes in the running water.

Step 2. While you continue rinsing make sure to apply some amount of baby shampoo to the bristles of the makeup brushes.

Step 3. To disinfect the brushes, you have to make a vinegar solution. Take a regular-size kitchen bowl and fill 1/3rd portion of vinegar and the ⅔ rd half of water. And there dip the brushes for 2-3 minutes to cleanse the bristles thoroughly.

Step 4. Then air dry the brushes as mentioned earlier. Leave them to dry overnight and the next morning you can again use these brushes for blending foundations.
